The Hohner Professional 48 Chord Harmonica No.267
Here is a Harmonica that presents the highest development of Harmonica manufacturing skill. For chord accompaniment in a Chromatic Harmonica Band it has been proven priceless as it furnishes five different chords to harmonize with each of the tones in the chromatic scale.
While it cannot be used for solo playing, it nevertheless provides the player or the group , with an instrument that furnishes an almost unlimited number of chords and chord effects. In order to provide the maximum volume of sound it is built like a Full Concert Harmonica. In other words, there are eight reeds to a chord - four tuned in one octave and four in a higher octave. There are forty-eight chords in all, twenty-four blow and twenty-four draw - thus giving this instrument the grand total of three hundred and eighty-four reeds. This is the Harmonica that fills the gap in group or ensemble playing, giving proper volume and body to band work. It makes the Chromatic Harmonica Band.
